Cooking Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated… It Just Has to Work for You

Lately I’ve been trying something a little different in the kitchen, and honestly… I didn’t expect to like it this much.

After going all out on Easter dinner (which, let’s be real, was 100% emotional cooking 😅), I’ve been trying to keep things simpler. More skillet meals, less full production mode.

And I’m actually enjoying it.

Because normally? I’m all about big batch cooking. Freezer full, meals for weeks, cooking like I’m feeding a small village 😂

But lately I’ve been grabbing a protein from the freezer and just going with it. No big plan, no overthinking, just cooking whatever feels right in the moment.

Some days I decide the night before, some days the morning of. There’s no real system… just whatever works that day.

And if I’m being honest, if my body would let me, I’d cook every single day. I’d probably need another freezer too 😏

But on the days I don’t feel like it, that’s where those freezer meals come in. I always make sure I’ve got something ready to go. Pop it in the microwave and done. Fast, easy, and still something I made myself.

That’s why batch cooking has been working so well for me. I can cook when I have the energy and not stress when I don’t.

And my kitchen? Oh it’s a mess at first 😂 Small space, everything everywhere, especially when the Ninja decides it owns the counter. But once I get going, it all comes together.

Controlled chaos… that’s what I call it.

If you think your meals need to be perfect… they don’t.

Some of the best meals I’ve made happened when I just put music on, stopped overthinking, and had fun with it.

Cooking doesn’t have to be complicated.

It just has to work for you.
