Opportunity Feels Different When You’re Ready
Growth First. Then the Open Door.
There was a time when I chased opportunity.
If something looked promising, exciting, or profitable, I ran toward it. I thought if I moved fast enough, worked hard enough, proved myself enough, it would all fall into place.
But this time?
Opportunity found me.
Not once. Twice.
When my former company went bankrupt abruptly in January 2025, my world crumbled. It felt sudden. Unsettling. Like the rug had been pulled out from under me.
I didn’t go hunting.
I didn’t scramble.
I focused on rebuilding.
On growth.
On healing.
On structure.
On becoming stable within myself.
And then something unexpected happened.
Two companies were offered to me.
A Spice Affair.
Super Patch.
Not forced. Not chased.
Offered.
And I couldn’t be happier where I landed.
Not just because of the business model.
Not just because I work my own hours.
Not just because I can adjust my workload depending on how my body feels that day.
But because of the community.
The people.
The encouragement.
For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m home.
As someone who is disabled, flexibility isn’t a luxury. It’s necessary. Some days are tougher than others. But most days, I don’t let that stop me.
Timing matters.
It took a few months for both opportunities to land in my lap. A few months of uncertainty. A few months of growth happening quietly in the background.
And I believe that’s why it worked.
Growth within you has to happen first.
When you’re aligned, when you’re steady, when you’ve done the inner work, opportunity doesn’t feel desperate anymore.
It feels aligned.
It feels earned.
Maybe that’s why you’re here reading this.
Maybe you’re in a rebuilding stage.
Maybe you’re in a growth stage.
Maybe you’re ready for opportunity.
We’re all in different seasons.
The real question is:
Where are you right now?
